Niagara Falls partially freezes in record-breaking cold

At the start of the New Year, Niagara Falls appeared to be frozen in time.

Parts of Niagara Falls in Canada and the United States were frozen amid frigid temperatures on Tuesday, January 2.

Monday marked the coldest January 1 recorded in Niagara Falls, with a temperature of -26 degrees Celsius, or -14 degrees Fahrenheit, a news report said. Average temperatures are usually around the freezing mark for this area.
