Pasco assistant principal arrested on child pornography charges

An assistant principal at a Pasco County school faces child pornography charges as part of a Homeland Security investigation.

Kyle Ritsema was arrested Tuesday and taken to jail under with no bond and as a “Homeland Security hold” for a federal rule violation.

FOX 13 News learned Wednesday Ritsema was charged with possessing, producing, and distributing child pornography.

His jail information lists his as an assistant principal at Cypress Creek Middle High School, located in Wesley Chapel.

Pasco County school officials tell FOX 13 that Ritsema is on paid administrative leave.
