Pasco deputy accepts pushup challenge with a twist

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office got a call for a juvenile disturbance, but what they found was something much different.

In a Facebook post, the sheriff's office said deputies Skelton and Fitts responded to the call in Dade City. When they got there, they found an adult guardian outside with some children who needed to burn some energy so they could go to sleep.

But the sight of law enforcement did not send the kids running. Instead, one of them challenged Deputy Skelton to a pushup challenge - with a twist. The child climbed onto the deputy's back while he proved his strength.

Video posted of the accepted challenge begins on pushup number five, with a young boy perched on the deputy's back, and smiling from ear-to-ear.

It's unclear how many pushups Deputy Skelton completed. The video stops at number 12. No matter how many he managed, it's clear he made the family's night.

FOX 13 News is working to verify if the kids ever actually went to bed.
