Pasco man accused of nearly running over deputy in strip club parking lot

HOLIDAY (FOX 13) - Pasco County detectives arrested a man who, they say, nearly ran over one of their own deputies in a strip club parking lot.

At midnight, 36-year-old Eddie Rafeal Saunders, was arrested. He faces charges including aggravated assault on an officer and fleeing to elude.

The incident occurred on Sunday in the parking lot of Desire Gentleman’s Club in Holiday. The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office shared body camera video earlier this week showing the deputy approach a man sitting in a white car, which investigators said was stolen. 

The deputy asks him, “What are you up to?” The man responds, “Getting out of the car.”

Instead, he shuts the driver door and drives toward the deputy. Investigators said the car was reported stolen.
