Person found dead after apartment fire

TAMPA, Fla. (FOX 13) - A person was found dead after firefighters battled an apartment fire that fully engulfed two apartments on Tranquility Drive in Hillsborough.

The fire erupted at St. James Crossing Apartments on Gunn Highway just after 8 p.m. Saturday night. Firefighters say they found heavy flames and smoke upon their arrival. 

Deputies say they have not yet determined the cause of death and they don't know what started the fire.
