PHOENIX (KSAZ) -- A photo of a baby surrounded by needles that illustrates the challenges with In-Vitro Fertilization has gone viral in recent days.
The photo was posted by Packer Family Photography on the night of August 10.
The mom reportedly told the photographer that it took her four years, seven attempts, three miscarriages and 1,616 shots to finally have the baby featured in the photo.
In her response to comments left on the post, the photographer said the mother brought in all of the needle, and said she used every one of them, and saved them over the past four years.
The photo has prompted others to share similar photos, as well as similar stories.
As of Tuesday night, the photo was shared about 43,000 times on Facebook, and had approximately 3,500 comments.
