Plant City coach dismissed amid sex investigation
PLANT CITY, Fla. - Investigators in Plant City are investigating allegations of sexual misconduct involving an as-yet-unnamed coach at Plant City High School.
Plant City police say they – along with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office – were notified of allegations against a male coach. They say he “has been associated with the wrestling and track teams for the past two years,” but has been dismissed from that position.
Police say the school and district are cooperating with the investigation, though they declined to release any more details about the suspect or the nature of the allegations.
Investigators ask anyone with any additional information “concerning inappropriate conduct by this individual” to call the Plant City Police Department or Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
