Playground equipment destroyed by fire at Westside Park

LAKELAND (FOX 13) - Fire destroyed the playground at 1800 Oakhill Street Monday, and investigators believe it may have been intentionally set. 

Around 5:15 p.m., calls came in about the fire at Lakeland's Westside Park. When fire crews arrived, they said the playground equipment was fully involved. 

Crews contained the fire to the playground equipment and no one was hurt. Lakeland Fire Department Fire Investigators were called to the scene to investigate and ruled the fire suspicious. The official cause was still being determined.
