Police: 1 killed, 2 injured in St. Pete shooting

Police said three people were shot during a home invasion in St. Petersburg Sunday morning.

The incident happened at a home on the 4100 block of 11th Avenue South. Police said three armed suspects entered the home around 5:30 a.m.

According to investigators, the suspects exchanged gunfire with the victims inside the home. Police said one of the suspects, Cory D. McClendon, was fatally shot, while two of the residents were also shot.

One victim said to be in critical condition, while the other is in stable condition. 

Police said the two other suspects fled from the house. The victims and deceased suspect have not been publicly identified.
