Police ask public for help to find missing Tampa man suffering from dementia

TAMPA (FOX 13) - Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office detectives are asking for the public's help to find missing 82-year-old Maynell Benton Scott, of Tampa. Scott went missing from the Belvedere Commons Assisted Living Facility and is said to suffer from dementia.

Detectives describe Scott as a white male who is 6 feet tall and weighs 200 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a light blue dress shirt and gray dress pants and also wears glasses. Authorities say Scott left the facility located at 1513 Fletcher Avenue West in Tampa around 6:30 p.m. on July 15th.
