Police identify man, woman found dead in St. Petersburg alley
ST. PETERSBURG (FOX 13) - St. Petersburg police say two people found dead in an alley were murdered.
The investigation into the deaths of a man and a woman began Tuesday morning after someone ran up to an officer to report finding the bodies.
They were found in an alley near 14th Avenue South and 16th Street South. The person who found them said she recognized the pair.
"We went back there to look and I just threw up," Starlette Clark said. "I see them all the time; that lady and guy. Everybody probably knows them. They [are] in the neighborhood all the time."
St. Petersburg police identified them as 35-year-old Kenneth Lee Shook and 58-year-old Cheryl Lee Casey.
Investigators say a pick-up truck was found at the scene. Officers believe drugs were involved.
The medical examiner will perform autopsies to determine their exact cause of death.
Police are asking anyone with information to call the agency at (727) 893-7780.
