Police investigating Clearwater homicide of 22-year-old woman

CLEARWATER (FOX 13) - Clearwater police are investigating a homicide that occurred early Friday morning in the Oakbrook Apartments. 

A call came in just after 3:30 a.m. reporting gun shots in the area of 2225 Nursery Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered a woman dead inside an apartment. 

The woman was identified as 22-year-old Saniye Salahutdin. She lived in the apartment with her mother. 

Detectives believe that the shooting was not a random incident. 

The investigation is ongoing.
