Police looking for body in New Port Richey park
NEW PORT RICHEY (FOX 13) - Police have cordoned off part of a park in New Port Richey while they search for a possible buried body there.
The scene is at Robert Rees Memorial Park on Green Key. Police have confirmed only that they are following up on a lead that suggested a body had been buried there.
Deputies have now taken over the investigation and "will be working over the weekend methodically with our forensic anthropology partners at USF," a spokesperson explained.
The park will likely be closed all weekend.
