Police search for vehicle in pedestrian hit-and-run
TAMPA (FOX 13) - Tampa police officers are searching for a suspect vehicle in a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian.
The crash happened around 1:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Hillsborough Avenue between Hesperides Avenue and Lois Avenue.
According to police, an adult male pedestrian was hit by a dark, low-riding sedan, which fled the scene.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. He has not been publicly identified.
