Police: Teen injured in Sarasota shooting

SARASOTA, Fla. (FOX 13) - A teen was taken to the hospital after a shooting in Sarasota.

The Sarasota Police Department said it happened just before 5 p.m. on Signal Pointe Circle in Bella Sol Apartments.

The juvenile was taken to All Children's Hospital. Police said three teen males were detained for questioning.

Last week, Sarasota PD announced officers were stepping up patrols in the North District due to a spike in shootings.
