Polk 18-year-old accused of raping, molesting girls

Polk County deputies say they've arrested an 18-year-old serial molester and that there could be more victims out there. Justin Cruey of Auburndale is accused of raping and molesting girls aged 12 to 15.

"He is the kind of person who is going to take advantage of kids if he can. He doesn't care," said Sheriff Grady Judd. "You get that kind of look from his mugshot."

The sheriff says so far his victims include two 12-year-olds, two 13-year-olds and a 15-year-old.

His arrest affidavits say he has snuck into girls' bedrooms through windows, that he has pinned a girl down in a park, that he has threatened one with a knife, and that he threatened to take matters into his own hands if one victim refused to meet him.

He was arrested four days ago after saying he would bring one girl a morning-after pill.

"If your children have been around this guy, you need to have a very pointed discussion with them," said Judd. "You need to find out if they are alright. You need to find out if he has abused them."

The sheriff says Cruey was reported for hanging out at Stambaugh Middle School after classes let out.

"This little league field has been a great place for all the children in Auburndale for years and years," said Ty Willis, a grandfather who coaches youth sports at the park across the street from the school. "I am up here as a grandfather helping with T-ball. We are concerned about that. Everyone here will be concerned about that."

Cruey was first charged with molesting a girl six years ago, when he was 12.  One victim says she was afraid to report him for years.

"He will sexual batter children at every opportunity," said Judd.

Cruey is in the Polk County jail right now, facing seven charges.

The sheriff says they believe there are more victims so any parents should come forward and that every effort will be made to protect the victims
