Port Tampa Bay sets passenger record
TAMPA (FOX 13) - Port Tampa Bay welcomed its millionth cruise ship passenger this year, the first time the port has ever reached the milestone.
In total, 1,000,524 passengers have come through Tampa this year.
A study by Business Research and & Economic advisors estimates that a 3,000 passenger ship can generate as much as $400,000 in onshore spending by passengers and crew.
