Deputies are looking for a road rage suspect seen on video swiping a gold necklace from a motorcyclist in the middle of the road.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, the incident happened back on July 20 in the area of Hillsborough Avenue and Town 'n Country Boulevard. Deputies said the victim was being tailgated by the suspect, who was driving a light gray Nissan pickup truck.

The victim said he hopes officers find the suspect quickly so he doesn't cause harm to anyone.

"He deserves to go to jail. That's where he should be. He's gonna hurt somebody else out there. You know that's pretty bad. When you see that in our world that's sad," Joseph Sudano said.

The men exchanged words before the driver went to get a bat from his truck. When he approached the victim, he snatched his gold necklace and said, "I'll just take this instead."

"After he pointed the bat at me and threatened me and then he goes, 'I'll take this, too,' and he grabbed the chain and snatched it right from me," Sudano recalled.

The suspect is described as being possibly Hispanic, 30 to 35 years old, 5-foot-6, with black hair that was mohawk style.

Part of the incident was captured on video. Deputies are asking for anyone who may recognize the suspect to contact the sheriff's office.
