Sarasota County sheriff's deputies used a helicopter to corral some loose horses.

Over the weekend several, horses escaped from a fenced area near Gulf Gate Drive.

The sheriff's office says the horses were begin kept on a closed golf course while their owner transitions the property for development.

After the horses escaped, they were spotted wandering the local community, walking through yards and by houses.

Someone called the sheriff's office and the deputies were able to have the helicopter help to corral the horses back onto the property.
