Small brush fire spews smoke over Ruskin

RUSKIN (FOX 13) - Crews in southern Hillsborough County are battling a small but smoky brush fire.

The 1-acre fire is burning in a marsh off Frances Circle in Ruskin.  That’s along the Little Manatee River and not far from Interstate 75.

There are several homes nearby, but Hillsborough County Fire Rescue says they are not currently in any danger.
