Smiling Florida couple pose with deputies after their arrest
ORMOND BEACH, Fla. (FOX 13) - A Florida couple posed and smiled for the camera after their arrest.
Since May, Volusia County deputies were searching for Matthew White and Amber Taynor for grand theft and other charges. Last week, they spotted them inside a stolen vehicle near Interstate 95 and State Road 40.
A Volusa County Sheriff's Office air unit monitored high up as the stolen vehicle hit a set of stop sticks deployed by one of the deputies. The couple bailed from the vehicle and ran, but were quickly taken into custody.
White faces several charges including grand theft, drug possession and driving with a suspended license. Taynor faces a couple of drug possession charges.
The morning after they were arrested, the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office shared a photo of White and Taynor -- handcuffed with their arms behind their backs – smiling with the deputies involved in their arrest.
