ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (FOX 13) - Pinellas County could be getting its first Topgolf location, according to documents filed with the Southwest Florida Water Management District.
The documents show plans for a 67,000 square foot facility off of Carillon Parkway in St. Petersburg. The target location for the new Topgolf is a vacant lot that is roughly 12 acres. It is between Catalina Marketing Corporation’s headquarters and Transamerica Financial Advisors, Inc.
Topgolf is known to be multi-level entertainment facility with a bar, restaurant and driving range. There are currently five Topgolf loations in Florida. Two are in the Miami-area, one in Jacksonville and one in Orlando. The only location in the Tampa Bay area -- for now -- is in Brandon, which opened in 2014.
Topgolf officials have not commented on the report, and there is no word on a timeline for the new location’s development.
