ASHLAND, Ore. (STORYFUL) - A student at Southern Oregon University in Ashland replied to an email which warned students and staff about cougar sightings near the campus by suggesting the wild animal is, in fact, his mother.
The email was sent on April 6 to students, faculty members, and staff of possible cougar sightings in Ashland, saying, "We live and work in a beautiful valley; and if you haven't already heard, please be aware cougars have been seen recently in and around Ashland."
The student, Caleb Diaz, accidentally sent a reply-to-all message writing, “That’s just my mom."
Fellow SOU student Lauren Devine shared a screenshot of the response to Twitter on April 7. Diaz said he assumed the email wouldn’t be distributed to the entire student body.
