A new school in Polk County that was meant to relieve overcrowding at other schools has reached capacity.

Several parents were turned away when they arrived Monday to register their child at Citrus Ridge, a new civics school on Sand Mine Road in Davenport.

According to the school district, any further students who try to register for Citrus Ridge will be assigned a different school in the district. Officials warned that this may result in an unexpected inconvenience for families.

Citrus Ridge cannot accept any more students because of class size regulations.
