Surprise! Community service officer gets big early Christmas present

TAMPA (FOX 13) - A Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office employee got the gift of a new roof on her house thanks to several Bay Area companies.

Loretta Sanders has worked as a community service officer for 11 years.  For months, she's had problems with leaks in the home where she's lived since she was 3 years old.

Co-workers at the sheriff's office tried to help fix it, but the only permanent solution was a new roof. 

They say Sanders does so much for others, they wanted to help her.

Sanders was in tears this afternoon when the new roof was unveiled.
