Surprised driver finds handgun sticking out of bumper
LAKEWOOD, Wash. (FOX 13) - A driver in Washington spotted something on the road fly up and hit his car, he didn’t think anything of it – until he stopped for gas and saw what it was.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the man found a handgun sticking halfway out of his front bumper. Photos shared by a WSP spokesperson showed the gun embedded handle-out through the front of the Honda.
“Well, this is a first,” Trooper Guy Gill tweeted in reaction to the bizarre find.
According to Gill, the driver said he’d continued about 18 miles along Interstate 5 after seeing the “black object” hit his car.
Troopers turned the gun over to police in the community of Lakewood for further investigation.
