Police are searching for a man they say shot three people, including a child, at a Haines City apartment complex Friday evening.

Officers are looking for 38-year-old Ernst Cherizard, who is believed to be driving a burgundy 2011 Nissan Altima, Florida tag GZN C82.

He is suspected of shooting an killing two women and injuring a child at Citrus Ridge Apartments.

On Saturday, police said Cherizard's vehicle was spotted going through a toll booth in Boyton Beach just after midnight.

Multiple agencies are currently working to locate and arrest Cherizard.

According to investigators, two women came to the apartment to check on a female relative, but Cherizard was there instead. He told them the woman they were looking for wasn't home.

The women left, but one of them came back and confronted Cherizard, police said.

That's when he shot and killed the woman, then took off.

Inside the apartment, police who arrived on the scene said they found a woman who was fatally shot.

They also found a 6-year-old child who had also been shot in the head. The child was taken to the hospital and was in "extremely critical condition."

One of the victims, identified as 23-year-old Eli Normil, was in a relationship with the suspect.
