After two days on the run, Hillsborough deputies found the man accused of driving his truck through a Tampa home Saturday evening hiding underneath a home about a mile from the accident.

Investigators had been searching for Robert Devon Siders since the night of the accident on Pepperfield Drive. That accident left a 71-year-old woman in critical condition after Siders’ truck pinned the woman against her wall.

Deputies located Siders under a home on Four Oaks Road shortly after obtaining a search warrant for him Monday afternoon.

Deputies did not say how long Siders had been underneath the home, or why he chose it as a hiding spot. Donna Pasley lives two doors down from where the arrest happened, she says she worries about her child's safety after the incident.

"It makes me very nervous, particular since she comes home from school and I'm not home yet."

The woman who was hit by Siders remains in critical condition at a local hospital. Pasley can't believe someone would leave an accident that severe.

"Inhuman, I don't see how anybody could leave someone in pain."

Siders is charged with leaving the scene of a crash with serious bodily injury, reckless driving with serious bodily injury, and driving with a license canceled, suspended or revoked.
