Teen arrested for first-degree murder in 14-year-old's shooting death: TPD
TAMPA, Fla. - A 15-year-old boy faces a first-degree murder charge after Tampa police say he shot and killed a 14-year-old on Wednesday.

The backstory:
According to the Tampa Police Department, the confrontation began while Armando Gilbert and another juvenile were riding bikes on N. Hillsborough Ln. approaching E. Juneau St. shortly before 6 p.m. Wednesday.
TPD said Marquis Lee was at the intersection waiting for Gilbert, then approached Gilbert and shot him multiple times before taking off. Gilbert died at the hospital.

Officers, along with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, arrested Lee on Thursday evening, police said.
Detectives said Lee and Gilbert knew each other and had disputes prior to the shooting.

"As we grieve alongside Armando’s family and offer them support during this unimaginable time, we remain committed to holding juveniles accountable when they decide to take someone else’s life. Armando’s family deserves nothing less than justice, and I’m deeply proud of the swift efforts of the men and women who worked tirelessly to make an arrest within 24 hours of this tragedy."
