Teen arrested in murder of Mulberry man

MULBERRY (FOX 13) - A 15-year-old was arrested Wednesday evening in the shooting death of his mother's 37-year-old boyfriend. He now faces a charge of first degree murder.
Deputies said the victim, Paul Gregg, Jr. was at home with his girlfriend, 36-year-old Jessica Whidden and her 15-year-old son, Michael Cole Whidden.
Investigators believe Michael Whidden shot Gregg in the back with a shotgun, killing him.
Sheriff Grady Judd said Wednesday morning there was a possibility the shooting was a case of self-defense, but investigators say they have found otherwise.
Michael Cole Whidden was arrested, charged with first degree murder, and taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center.
