The view from inside Bayshore's newest tower, the Virage

You’ve seen it getting taller and taller over the last few months. Now, we're getting our first look at the new luxury tower under construction on Tampa’s Bayshore Boulevard.

The Virage is 24 stories tall at the corner of Bayshore and Julia Street, the site of the old Colonnade Restaurant.

Every condo has a view of the bay and downtown.

Builders say they've presold 63 of the condos, with only eight left for sale. They range from a million dollars all the way up to five million.

“A lot of our purchasers are from the Tampa area. It's a primary residence -- we have very few out-of-towners -- and I think that really speaks to the need in this market that probably hasn't been delivered for 12 years in the Tampa area,” Steve Barber offered.

The builders preserved the grandfather oak that's been on the site for more than 100 years.  It sits right at the front door.

They expect to top the Virage off in April, and in the early part of 2020, the first residents will move in.
