A toddler has been injured in a hit-and-run involving a motorcycle in Port Richey.

According to Pasco Fire Rescue, a 2-year-old girl was struck in the 7300 block of Oak Crest Drive on Sunday evening.

Officials said the motorcyclist fled the scene, but Florida Highway Patrol troopers arrested a suspect from the 7400 block of Oak Crest Drive around 9 p.m.

According to the child’s aunt and uncle, the little girl was playing near the street with four other children when a ball rolled out into the street. The little girl went after the ball before she was hit. They said she was conscious when she was taken to the hospital.
