Truck filled with donations for Venezuela wrecks near Miami

A truck filled with donations for the country of Venezuela crashed on a Palm Beach County interstate Friday, spilling those much-needed supplies across the roadway.

The Florida Highway Patrol said a tire on the Penske rental truck blew out and the truck flipped onto its side. No one was hurt in the crash and no other vehicles were involved.

The truck was headed to Miami where the donations of food, building supplies, generators, drinks, and toys would be shipped to South America.

The organization sending the donations said the items are covered by insurance, however, anyone who would like to make a donation may contact Conavenca at 786-336-8181.
