'Unbe-leaf-able' drone footage shows fall colors in northern Utah

Fall is in the air across much of the country, from snow in Oregon to foliage in Utah.

Utah resident and drone enthusiast Justin McFarland recorded incredible footage of his home state. He captured the full array of fall colors on display Saturday at the Snowbasin ski resort in Ogden Valley, northern Utah.

The colors of the foliage in the video are incredibly vivid, with bright red colors, and luminous shades of green and purple all present.

“We just had some big rainstorms up here that might have knocked some of the leaves off, but there are a few colors still up there,” he told FOX 13, adding that he used a DJI Phantom 4 with a polarized filter.

Foliage colors are hitting their peak this week in that area, along with the very northeastern part of the U.S. Next week, much of the rest of the country should be well into the fall foliage season.
