Driver seriously injured after crashing into Riverview mobile home, troopers say
RIVERVIEW, Fla. - The driver of an SUV had serious injuries after losing control of her vehicle and crashing into a Riverview home early Friday morning.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the 30-year-old woman from Wimauma, was heading south on U.S. Highway 301 approaching El Paso Drive when she crossed the center median and northbound lane. Troopers said they reason is unknown as they continue to investigate.
The SUV became airborne and struck a concrete barrier before crashing into a mobile home in the Rice Creek RV Resort. Officials said the SUV landed on a bed and an air conditioning unit.
Two people inside the home – a man and woman – had minor injuries following the crash, troopers said.
