WATCH: Boiling water turns to snow at Mount Washington

NORTH CONWAY, N.H. (FOX 13) - Boiling water was no match for the freezing temperatures in one part of New Hampshire.

On Thursday, a weather observer at the Mount Washington Observatory poured boiling hot water out in the subzero temperatures with hurricane force winds. 

The weather was so cold, it turned the water into snow.

Weather observers said temperatures hit a record for the day reaching negative 31 degrees.
