Watch: Tarantula swims in Texas park

Did you know that tarantulas can swim?

Neither did we, but that's apparently the case at Big Bend Ranch State Park in Presidio, Texas.

The park's Interim Superintendent Brandi Heasley recorded video of a tarantula swimming across the top of a swirling pool of water.

Park officials said tarantulas use their legs like paddles to row across the water.

The video stops with the spider floating on the top of some murky water, but the park says the large arachnid made it across and safely onto the shore.
