Who is Lucky Duck on ‘The Masked Singer?’

LOS ANGELES - It was the semi-finals on Wednesday’s new episode of "The Masked Singer," with the top four contestants battling it out for a coveted spot in the finale.

The remaining contestants, Pearl, Boogie Woogie, Mad Scientist Monster and Coral, performed songs including, "Maps," "You Don't Own Me," "What Was I Made For," "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" and more, before another surprising unmasking.

But the unmasking was not what fans had in mind.

For the first time in the show’s history, no contestants were eliminated from the competition.

Instead, Lucky Duck, the season’s featured investigator, was revealed.

During the unmasking, Lucky Duck revealed himself as actor, comedian and husband to panelist Rita Ora, Taika Waititi.

"This is kind of your dream come true. You always wanted to be a pop star," Ora told Waititi following the shocking reveal.

Waititi added: "The main reason I wanted to do this is because it’s the only way I was going to be able to see my wife. You guys got her working so hard, I never see her."

According to FOX, Lucky Duck was added to the show to point out subtle hints and offering up tasty tidbits throughout the season to help fans guess which celebrities are hiding beneath the masks and elaborate costumes.

What's next:

This means all four semi-final singers were able to advance to next week’s lucky Season 13 grand finale.

Next week, the final four will open the show with a performance of "Pink Pony Club," and the two-hour show will conclude with the winner of Season 13 being crowned.
