Worker hospitalized after falling into trench

TAMPA, Fla. - A construction worker is recovering after falling into a trench.

It happened near West Neptune Street and South Manhattan Avenue in Tampa just before 9:30 this morning.

Tampa Fire Rescue says workers were able to pull him out of the hole using a basket. He was taken by ambulance to Tampa General Hospital with minor injuries.
