Pets like alcohol – but that doesn’t mean they can have it during the holidays

Dr. Meaghan Callahan with the Veterinary Emergency Group said there are some pets that just love alcohol – beer especially because it has a sweet yeast flavor. Some of those drinks also have an artificial sweet flavor. ‘Your sweeter drinks, your dog will drink right up,' she said. 'We want to make sure not only the alcohol stays away from them but those sweet rich food items that they normally don’t get.”
