People trapped by frozen floodwaters in Hull, Massachusetts, were rescued by firefighters with a loader.

A video of the rescue taken by Hull resident Jen Olivieri shows a woman, who is sitting on the roof of a house, being rescued by the heavy piece of machinery.

Frozen floodwaters caused by a nor’easter storm slamming the area can be seen in front of her door.

Firefighters in Hull told local media they were overrun with calls for assistance following the intense winter storm.

The Town of Hull Emergency Management said life-threatening calls, among “calls for service, multiple rescues, fires, people trapped in vehicles, car fires,” would be prioritized.

Flooding was reported in coastal communities south of Boston during the storm, which brought blizzard conditions and strong winds to much of the northeast.
