Buddy Baseball is a hit for Tampa Bay's special needs community

Buddy Baseball is in a league of its own.

The non-competitive league serves the Tampa Bay area bringing the sport of baseball to boys and girls who might not otherwise get to play because of a disability. The Tampa Bay rays are big supporters of this effort.

Players are assigned a “buddy” who help them bat, run the bases and enjoy the game. This allows friendships to foster between buddies.

Those between the ages of 8 to 22 can join. Registration for the 2018 season ends on August 24. For additional information, click over to Buddy Baseball’s website: buddybaseball.org.
