Duncan McClellan is a pioneer in the glass movement

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (FOX 13) - Artist Duncan McClellan’s work with glass has gained him international notoriety.

But right in Tampa Bay, he is a pioneer of the glass movement. There is such an emphasis on this art form in St. Petersburg lately, some people have even taken to referring to this area as the Glass Coast.

In fact, the Glass Art Society is hosting a conference starting March 28th, that will “explore the new energy of St. Petersburg and the Florida Gulf Coast, from Sarasota to Tampa, offering a new perspective on future directions in glass.”
