Hillsborough school chef competing Culinary Olympics

BRANDON (FOX 13) - Charley visited Brandon Wednesday morning to introduce a member of Team USA who will be competing against other countries in hopes of bringing home the gold.

However, we aren’t talking track and field, not soccer. We are talking ACF Culinary Team USA. The best chefs America has to offer are chosen to represent our country in both the Culinary World Cup and the Culinary Olympics.

Chef Vanessa Marquis is thrilled to be on Team USA, and while some of her teammates might own their own restaurants, or work for a 5-start resort, Vanessa is a chef with the Hillsborough County Public Schools. She helps train cafeteria workers and helps create dishes for more than 200,000 students.
