'Hyperrealistic' exhibit arrives at Tampa Museum of Art

TAMPA (FOX 13) - A new exhibit is in town.

The Tampa Museum of Art is currently hosting the exhibit “Photorealism: 50 years of Hyperrealistic Painting.”

Charley said he’s always been fascinated by artists who can paint a picture and make it look like a photograph. The exhibit traces the evolution of Photorealism from 1960 to today, with works of some 30 artists known for their hyperrealistic depictions of ordinary objects and scenes of everyday life.

“Museum Day Live” is also this weekend, in which the Tampa Museum of Art is participating in. The nationwide event will take place on Saturday, September 23.
