ZooBoo: Candy, Bats and Scaredy Cats!

It's almost that time of year again for kids to wear their favorite costumes and stuff their tummies full with candy!

Charley Belcher was at Lowry Park Zoo on Tuesday to take part in some spooky fun at the all new Zoo Boo Kids.

You may have been to Zoo Boo before, but things are slightly different this year for the event that is now catered exclusively to the little ones.

Kids under the age of 11 are now able to enjoy the fun of Halloween time without the scares of previous year's haunted houses.

The Candy Corn Maze and Scaredy Cats Fun House are just a few of the highlights of the new festivities, which are now taking place in the daylight hours instead of night time. Other activities include a parade of ponies in costumes at both the beginning and end of the event as well as animal encounters with a screech owl and Serval Cat.

Another bonus for the kiddo's (and the parents too) is the merging of two separate tickets for both the general admission to Lowry Park and Zoo Boo kids. The event  takes place between 1 and 7 p.m. on the following days.

  • -October 10-11
  • -October 17-18
  • -October 23-26
  • -October 30-31
  • -November 1
