15-foot depression shuts down stretch of US 92
SEFFNER (FOX 13) - A stretch of U.S. 92 is closed in both directions Thursday morning after a stretch of pavement completely buckled and left a large depression in the roadway.
The 15-foot dip is located right outside the Little Kids Academy on U.S. 92, between Mango and Williams Roads.
Road closure signs are blocking the area, and drivers are being urged to take MLK as an alternate.
It remains unclear what caused the depression, but FDOT officials say a geotechnical engineer will survey the area later today.
FOX 13 has a crew at the scene and will continue with updates as they become available.
