19-year-old charged with rape of girls, 4- and 5-years-old

LAKELAND (FOX 13) - A Lakeland High School junior, who detectives said was 19 at the time of the alleged crime, was arrested and charged with lewd molestation and sexual battery for the alleged rape of two young girls.
Alexander Ordonez was arrested after an investigation found he had intercourse with 4- and 5-year-old girls, with whom he is related.
Detective Turnage began investigating after the two girls were taken to the hospital by their mother. The detective said the girls' mother said she and the girls visited Ordonez's home and the girls stayed in the living room with Ordonez to watch TV.
When she came back, she said the girls' behaviors alarmed her. They apparently told their mother "Alex was being nasty."
The girls' mother told the detective Alex is mentally handicapped and she was not sure if something happened, but wanted to be safe about it and brought the children to the hospital.
Det. Turnage said forensic interviews with both girls revealed graphic details about what happened. The evidence led to charges and Alexander's arrest.
