2 dead in Lithia crash, deputies say
LITHIA, Fla. - Hillsborough County deputies say two adults were killed and one was hospitalized following a Friday morning crash.
For the investigation, deputies have closed the southbound lanes of County Road 39 near Thompson Road. The northbound traffic is being redirected.
One of the two vehicles involved showed heavy front-end damage. Officials are asking drivers to avoid the area.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
