Body found in Alligator Alley after possible suspect calls sheriff
SEBRING (FOX 13) - Three law enforcement agencies were investigating the death of a man believed to have been killed by his roommate and dumped in the Everglades.
Broward Co. sheriff's detectives said a man called early Tuesday morning to say he had killed someone, and gave an address in Highlands County. Broward Co. detectives then called the Highlands County Sheriff's Office for a well-being check at the address on Rosemary Avenue in Sebring.
Highlands County deputies went to the address, which is now an active crime scene.
Later Tuesday morning, Broward Co. deputies found the body of an adult male near mile marker 49 of Interstate 75, also known as Alligator Alley.
By Tuesday evening, 56-year-old Michael Celello was identified as a suspect and arrested for the murder of his roommate, 49-year-old Michael Cerillo.

Celello faces charges of first degree murder, possession of a firearm or ammunition by a convicted felon, grand theft, and tampering with physical evidence.
The victim's identity was withheld, pending notification of his family.
